Course Overview
CPR AED is an interactive program that teaches the lifesaving skill of CPR and AED administration. This class is not intended for Professional Healthcare Providers
The American Heart Association Heartsaver AED Course Completion Card is valid for two years.
During the course, an AHA Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their CPR and AED skills practice and skills testing.
This course covers these topics
Heartsaver AED is a classroom course that teaches basic CPR and AED skills such as:
- Giving CPR to an infant, child, and adult
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Using a mask or barrier device
This course is intended for
- Designated first responders
- Individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements
- Select departments or an entire workplace
Suggested text and learning
The American Heart Association requires ALL students to bring the 2015 AHA CPR AED Provider Manual to class. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. They are an AHA requirement that allows us to provide you with a valid AHA card at the end of your course. We have books available for purchase if needed, but we also encourage you to shop around for the best value.
